Glossary
The words RallyHub uses, in alphabetical order.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Category | A group of skaters who compete against each other, e.g. Junior Women. Categories are skated in a fixed order, which RallyHub follows. |
| Competition | An event with dates, a location and an organizing club, e.g. Coupe des Cimes 2026. |
| Deadline | The date and time after which participants can no longer submit or replace the music of a segment. Set by the organizer. |
| Entry | One skater's registration in one category of a competition. Entries come from the organizer's official participant list. |
| Expected duration | The length the music of a segment should have, with a tolerance, e.g. 03:30 ± 00:10 (3:20 to 3:40, both included). |
| Needs attention | Every program whose status is not Ready: missing, warning or invalid. |
| Organizer | A signed-in user managing a competition in the organizer area. |
| Organizing club | The club or association running a competition. It can be different from the clubs the skaters belong to. |
| Participant | A skater registered in a competition — or the parent, coach or club official acting for them. |
| Participant access page | The public page of a competition where participants look up their entry and submit music, e.g. /participate/coupe-des-cimes-2026. |
| Personal upload page | The page for one program of one participant. Organizers can share it so the participant skips the lookup. |
| Program | One entry skating one segment. Each program needs exactly one music file, and the dashboards count programs, not participants. |
| Removed entry | An entry the organizer took out of the competition. It keeps its music and can be restored at any time. |
| Segment | One part of a category's competition with its own music, e.g. Short Program (SP) or Free Skating (FS). |
| Swiss Ice Skating number | The license number on a skater's Swiss Ice Skating membership card. RallyHub uses it to find a participant's registration; it is an identifier, not a password. |
| Version | One file received for a program. Replacing music adds a new version; the newest one is the current version and decides the status. |
| Withdrawn music | Music that was taken back. The program counts as missing again and the old files stay archived. |
